This newsletter will cover the following topics:

1. It's time for training!

2. New - Use the Amazon Selling Coach to improve your effectiveness and your sales

3. New - Expand your offers internationally

4. Amazon Services - Useful resources to improve your business

5. The European Fulfilment Network for Fulfilment by Amazon Sellers

1) It's time for training!

During this summer period, why not take the time to develop your knowledge and skills on existing and new Amazon services and tools in order to drive your sales?

General tips for successful selling

  • Optimize your keyword search terms: Customers must be able to find your products before they can buy them. Price, availability, selection, and sales history all influence the location of your product in the search results. Furthermore, search terms (keywords) are the primary method customers use to locate products on Amazon websites. Make sure to:
    • use detailed product names (for example, suppose your product name is "Allison's Gourmet Organic Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies - One Dozen." This product already has a good selection of search terms even before you add the additional terms).
    • use single keywords and use search terms once. For more information on maximising the exposure of your range in the Search index , click here.
    • assign each of your products to a browse node.
  • Use product details: After customers find your product, present them a compelling offer on the product detail page by means of:
    • eye-catching product titles.
    • inspiring product images (check image requirements here).
    • compelling and competitive prices (you can now see the current Buy Box price for listings in “New” condition in the Manage Inventory Page. Learn more about the Buy Box here).
    • clear and concise bullet points (to highlight important or distinguishing facts about your product).
    • imaginative product descriptions (including brand and product description, product line, material or key ingredient, color, size, quantity).
  • Cross-selling: Customers often want to purchase multiple products from the same seller. Therefore make it easier for customers to find other products you offer. To do this, you can take advantage of Accessory Relationships, and Listmania! lists.
  • Overview of promotions: A promotion is an incentive for a consumer to make a buying decision sooner rather than later, or to choose a specific product or merchant rather than a competing one. To learn more about promotions and how to apply them to your product, click here. With the Manage Promotions feature you can create promotional discounts, free shipping, and free-product offers in order to influence your consumer’s choice favourably.

2) New – Use Amazon Selling Coach to improve your effectiveness and your sales

The Amazon Selling Coach, which is a recommendation system that will give you targeted advice in order to maximize your effectiveness and sales, has now been included to the Seller Central Home Page and to the Business Reports section. This enables you to review recent sales trends within your reports.

You can find information about product opportunities, low or out-of-stock items, fulfilment opportunities, low price opportunities, popular products that are frequently sold out, etc. Furthermore, you can select and set up alerts in the Amazon Selling Coach in order to be informed about potential opportunities under Settings/Notification Preferences/Edit.

We are also pleased to invite you to a Selling on Amazon webinar on June the 27th, where we will give you an overview of the Amazon Selling Coach feature. The agenda points will include:

  • What is the Amazon Selling Coach?
  • What are the different types of information provided?
  • How to find and use the information?

3) New – Expand your offers internationally

Sellers using the Europe Marketplaces Account have access to sell on all European Marketplaces. To reduce the initial friction of listing products on other Marketplaces and to help you broaden and grow your business, your original offers can now be listed in the target Marketplace against existing products (ASINs). We will provide you with a listing loader file for the target Marketplace, containing your SKU and additional information required to make a pricing decision. If the file contains FBA offers, we will automatically link the offer to your European Fulfilment Network inventory pool. Click here for more information on how to expand your offers internationally.
